Brand Portal Case - Swedish Match

Challenge

Swedish Match needed a system that provided an easy way to share, sort and find files, especially marketing material such as logos, brand texts and pack shots, both external and internal. They needed a solution that also could be integrated with an existing business system.

- We have around 70 products that uses a are tied to a large amount of images, text and not to mention large print files, explains Tommi Teofilovski, Business Analyst at Swedish Match. We needed a function where one could easily share the material in other channels externally and that could be used as a brand portal internally. Another crucial aim has been to cut overhead for managing files, which we feel that we have truly accomplished.  

Another challenge lied in Swedish Match’s different brand managers for each brand, making it difficult to overview files as agencies sent material to the company through e-mail. With the employees spread across the globe, managing assets and ensuring the correct usage of files proved to be a complicated task.

Solution

With the aid of QBank, Swedish Match could build a Brand Portal integrated with EPiServer. Product material is imported into QBank and then linked to EPiServer and then published in an elegant frontend. That way Swedish Match ensure that the right version of the product images is published under the right brand. QBank is also linked with their PIM system so that the product information is linked to the images. In EPiServer editors can then add information such as guidelines for using images and text as well as other marketing material such as the brand story.

Result

Swedish Match has ensured that their employees are always using the right version of their product images, which makes for a consistent brand image. They’ve also reduced the time it takes for product images and information to reach the market. Another crucial accomplishment the reduced overhead cost for managing files.
